Sevil Çeylak 1954 yilinda Izmir’de dogdu. Ilk, orta ve lise egitimini Çamlaralti Koleji’nde, üniversiteyi Ege Üniversitesi Gazetecilik ve Halkla Iliskiler Yüksek Okulu’nda okudu. 1994 yilinda, Obje Sanat Galerisinde sanat çalismalarina baslayan Sevil Çaylak, Seref Bigali sanat atölyesinde desen çalismalari yapmistir.Sanatçi halen, Izmir Devlet Resim Heykel Müzesinde, resim ve baski çalismalari yapiyor ve Seba Sanat Galerisinde yagliboya çalismalarina devam ediyor. 2002 yilinda Italya Firenze’de "Catherina de Medici" Uluslararasi resim yarismasinda bronz madalya ve sertifika aldi. 2006 yilinda Fransa Pont-Aven "Art-De Vivre" Sanat Okulunu basari ile bitirdi. Yurtiçin ve yurtdisinda çok sayida kisisel karma sergi açmistir. Sanatçi,su grubu kurucularindandir. Gesam ve Unesco A.I.A.P Türkiye Ulusal Komitesi, Uluslararasi Plastik Sanatlar Dernegi üyesidir. Sanatçi eserlerinde yogun doku çalismasi uygulamistir. Eserleri soyut anlatimlidir. 2007 yilinda Floransa Bienaline katilmistir. Çalismalarina halen Seba Sanat Galeri’de devam etmektedir. |

Biography | |
Sevil Çaylak
was born in Izmir, 1954. She completed her high school education at Çamlaralti College and graduated from Ege University,
faculty of Public Relations and Journalism. Her art career began in 1994 at Obje Art Gallery. She attained her art technique at the studio
of Seref Bigali. She has also studied sculpture at the State Art and Sculpture Museum of Izmir and at Seba Ugurtan’s studio.
She won a Bronze Medal at the International Catherina de Medici 2002 Contest held in Florence and completed the Art-de-Vivre Art School
program in Pont-Aven, France, in 2006. Sevil Çaylak has had many solo shows and group participations both in Turkey and abroad. She is a member of the Water Group, UNESCO A.I.A.P., National Community of Plastic Arts of Turkey, and GESAM. She has also participated in the Florence Biennial 2007, Italy. |
